Madden on joining Rum Runner Racing:
“It's a great opportunity for all of us to complete the circle with the help of Rum Runner, Harold, my guys, and sponsors that are coming a long to help. I think it's a great chance for all of us as a group to work together and be a dominating, top class team. Batesville is probably one of my favorite places. I have been there multiple times, and I have almost always run extremely well there. Having won this race last year I think it's a great place for us to kick off this new team and hopefully pick up another topless win.
P.L. on Madden joining Rum Runner Racing:
“He brings a lot to the table for sure. A driver of his caliber and all the experience he has is huge. I think it is really going to help me as a driver to improve on things like reading the tracks as they change and getting comfortable with what I want out of my car.”
Rum Runner Racing Management on Madden joining the team:
“Since we formed Rum Runner Racing in 2015, the goal has been to climb to the top of the national rankings. Madden joining the team brings years of experience behind the wheel and brings us one step closer to attaining that goal. P.L. has done a great job stepping up since we put him in the seat late last year, and he’s already proven he can win in a super. Our optimism is driven by everyone's focus on this being a team effort. We welcome Chris, his crew, and all his partners to the Rum Runner Racing family. We are looking forward to having a successful partnership. We have a ton of confidence in PL and his abilities behind the wheel and think this is a great chance for him to learn from one of the best in the sport.
