Introducing Pearson. Lee. Williams.

11/21/2019 Introducing Pearson. Lee. Williams.

Introducing… Pearson… Lee… Williams…

We have been accused at times of making things too complicated. We’ve been told that this isn’t NASCAR and things don’t need to be done “that way”. Sure, there have been times where we got a little too far out in left field. But something always allowed us to circle back to the things that were working. That thing is our system. It’s the way that we develop, learn, succeed, and fail. It’s what holds us together as a team and keeps us focused on what the overall goal is for Rum Runner Racing… TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION.

This year was the first year that I (Joey) (yes, I write the press releases too) wasn’t behind the wheel full time and there were A LOT of positives that came out of this season. Some negatives, but A LOT of positives. When we and Brandon Overton decided it was time to go our separate ways, we already knew we wanted to keep going as an organization. We knew that whoever we were going to put in the car needed to understand and work within our system. This guy has been a part of that system since we brought it to dirt.

Ladies and gentlemen, driving the #2 Rum Runner Racing Longhorn for the remainder of 2019 and into 2020…

Pearson
Lee
Williams

Most of you probably know him as P.L. For those of you that don’t know him, stayed tuned, you are going to learn a lot about him very soon.

P.L. has been a part of the Rum Runner Racing team since 2016 when I ran my rookie year with the World of Outlaws. When he wasn’t on the road with us, he was back in Georgia (apparently, we like drivers from Ga.) racing his family owned 121… and winning. Since then, he has remained a huge part of our team and we are proud to announce that he will be our new driver.

What’s better than that? You don’t have to wait long at all before you get to see him in action behind the wheel of the #2. The Rum Runner Racing team will be at Screven Motorsports Park for the $5,000 to win Ultimate Super Late Model Finale Friday night, followed by Lancaster and Cherokee Speedways this weekend going after the $20,000 up for grabs in the Carolinas.
